ZIEGFELD AND HIS FOLLIES

 

Florenz Ziegfeld was one of the most important showmen the American Theatre produced in the 
first quarter of this century.  Across the Ziegfeld stages passed the most famous stars of theatre 
and Vaudeville:  Nora Bayes, Eddie Cantor, Fannie Brice, Will Rogers, Sophie Tucker, tenor 
John Steel and Bert Williams to name a few.

Many Ziegfeld musical productions were memorable and made lasting contributions to America 
Theatre:  THE THREE MUSKETEERS, SALLY, WHOOPIE, and the immortal SHOWBOAT.
